Cendrawasih Dance is inspired by the life of the Cendrawasih bird. In Bali, this bird of paradise is known as "manuk dewata" (bird of the gods). This dance is performed by two female dancers who play male and female birds.

This is a mating ritual that displays the attractive and agile movements of the male bird to attract the female. The two dancers move around while flapping their wings. The female took a sitting position and showed off her beauty. The male bird took a standing position trying to attract his lover.
