Batu Tampih Beach is a hidden gem with great seascapes, endless rice fields, coconut groves, and lovely rural environment. This is my first time visiting, and I am really happy to see the beach with a serene rural atmosphere. This is a long arch of glistening grayish-black sandy beach with a nice view overlooking the Indian Ocean. This spot offers an opportunity to relax by the sea, and you can savor this bliss for a day or two.
This lovely beach is situated in Pangkung Tibah Village, Kediri, Tabanan Regency, Bali. This spot is easily accessible by car and about an hour from Ngurah Rai International Airport.
You can reach it through the Jl. By Pass Tanah Lot to Jl. Kedungu Beach. Then continue on the J. Segara in Pangkung Tibah. Follow this road until you hit the Jl. Kebo Iwa and then continue on the small road at the Lingkungan Br. Batu Tampih Kangin. At the end of this access road, there is a notable villa on the right side, the Villa Vedas Bali.
While on the left there is a field area commonly used as parking and the beach is right in front of it. The small stall on the beach doesn’t always open, so make sure you come prepared.
This beach is far from residential areas. You will pass a traditional rural area where Balinese houses line neatly on road-sides and adorned with beautiful frangipani blooms. Local residents still work as farmers. You can enjoy a wide panorama of rice fields, bananas, and coconut groves.
Rice fields have become green, full of rice plants. You might be able to meet farmers who are active in their paddy field. Around the beach there is lots of green vegetation and once in a while you can hear the beautiful birds chirping among the branches. This spot offers a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Aside from farming, the residents also work as fishermen. Visitors can find some traditional boats leaning on the beach. In addition to a beautiful beach panorama, this is also a good fishing spot. This beach is a natural habitat for fish such as whiting, perch, and bream. This spot is worth a try, recommended for surf fishing lovers.
This beach also attracts surfers. This is one of the hidden surfing spots in Tabanan, where surfers come to catch some nice waves. Many local surfers surf here and are still rarely known by foreign surfers. This spot is close to the famous Bali surf spots, such as Kedungu Beach and Yeh Gangga Beach.
The beach is tucked up between Pig Stone Beach Langudu and Yeh Gangga Beach, just a few minutes to the west from Tanah Lot Bali. The beach is so calm, not many visitors and not many people know about it. The beach is relatively quiet and usually crowded by locals during the afternoon while waiting for sunset. If you like a more calm and quiet atmosphere, this spot can be an alternative vacation during the peak season.
This is a low-laying sandy beach, expanses, dotted with some rocks and coconut trees. You can enjoy the gorgeous views, big waves and nice blue water. There is a hill at the western end near the river mouth with a coconut tree on it. This is a popular photo spot and is usually crowded at sunset. It is nice to take picture here, not much annoyance. You can take pictures with the background of green hills, a coconut tree, sunset and clouds that are scattered in the sky.
The spot has tranquility and panoramic views. Big waves crash onto some rocks at the beach, delivering the white sea froth into the black sand. During the daytime it feels hot, would be better to visit in the morning or afternoon when the water is cooler and more shade. You can try to immerse your feet in the water, take some photos, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere by the sea.
Some activities that can be tried here such as kite flying, riding motorcycle in the sand, bonfire, and horse riding. For horse riding, there is a stable that is quite close to the beach, the Kuda P Stables Bali Horse Riding Experience. You will be accompanied by experienced guides during this activity. You will pass several spots with good views, such as: green rice fields, Balinese traditional houses, holy temples and the beach.
This is a lovely hidden beach, where people come to enjoy the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. You can relax and enjoy the sound of the waves. If you want to spend a longer time or stay over night, there are several beach villas near the location that can be an option, such as: Villa Vedas Bali, Caz Villa Bali, and Villa Kawan South West Bali.
This is a nice spot for a weekend getaway, chill-out, picnic with family or taking your dog for a walk. This beach is also great for sunbathing, jogging, morning yoga and cycling. You can take your kids for a vacation and playing sand, but still accompanied by parents. Visitors are not recommended for swimming and wading due to big waves and strong sea current, and sometime can be so deadly.
The beach is situated on the West Coast of Bali and is blessed with a romantic sunset that surrounds the coast. This creates a relaxing vibe and refreshes your mind and soul. You can spend the day looking at the blue water, relax on the fine-smooth sand, or have a leisurely walk along the beachside while enjoying the laid-back feel and cool sea-breeze.
