Most people around here are still working as farmers. There is still a stunning lush rice field along the access road to the beach. You can stop a while and enjoy a panoramic view of the vast rice fields. It seems that the farmers have just finished planting the seeds, are still green and not too tall.

There is a beautiful holy temple near the beach, at the end of the coastal path. This calm beach also hosted Balinese customary ritual, the Melasti Ceremony. The ritual is routinely held every year prior to Nyepi Day (Balinese Annual Day of Silence).

On this day Balinese will carry sacred objects from the nearby temple, such as: statue, kober-kober, lelontek, tedung or ceremonial umbrella, etc. People will line up neatly while holding these objects and carry it to the beach for purification.
