The adventurous spirit once again tried to take me to an unusual piece of land. The sun is so bright, as if guiding me to a hidden corner, secret but great spot called the Jimbaran Panorama Point or Honeymoon Beach.
This spot is situated in Jimbaran, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali. It is only about 13 kilometers (less than 40 minutes) from the Ngurah Rai International Airport. Drive south and take the Jl. Raya Uluwatu. Then continue on the Jl. Wanagiri up to the Jl. Tegal Wangi.
Before reaching the parking area of the Tegal Wangi Beach (approximately 400 meters), on the right side, there is a small road. To be honest this road looks less convincing, but I decided to give it a try.
Visitors usually park the motorcycle here because it is close to the main road and continues on foot. From this spot you will follow the descent on a bumpy, rocky track to the Panorama Point.
It's a good idea to use Google Maps feature. When this article is published, there is no sign at all and no local people live nearby. This is a bit difficult, but will be paid off completely when you are greeted by a truly natural beach and sea panorama.
Along the track came a vibrant chirping of birds, perched on small twigs of tropical wood. Also some local cattle on the lane side and a tightly packed cactus fence next to it. Several turns have been passed to the very end, arriving at a grassy mound with wide view towards the blue sea.
This is indeed a wonderful place, still natural and untouched by the development of tourism, at least to this day. From this point, you can see the coastline of the West Coast of Bali that seemingly endless from Jimbaran Beach to Kuta and even Tanah Lot.
This is a great place to hangout and for fun-filled picnic on weekends, with a quiet and serene atmosphere. The crushing waves hit the cave formations and seaside cliffs in the west. While green vegetation, shrub, cactus, and hardwood thrive on it.
There is a rocky spot often used for cliff jump. When high tide some visitors do jump, about 3-5 meters fell into the clear blue water. On the east side there is a tiny beach with white sand and rock cliffs and you can watch the beautiful sunrise from here.
When the low tide some natural tide pools and coral reef appears along the coast and you can explore it more freely but carefully. You can try some activities such as: morning yoga, rock fishing, surfing, and snorkel off the beach.
In addition, this is a nice spot for camping. But you need to plan it well, bring enough supplies and consider the safety factor. There are no food-stalls or other facilities nearby. Regardless, you can spend the afternoon, chilling and enjoy the stunning panoramic sunset while grilling fish on a bonfire and enjoying the silence of the evening by the sea.
