Suluban Beach Uluwatu Bali or often called "Blue Point Beach", is a hidden beach and famous for its unique entrance through wide cave openings leading to the seaside, big boulders, lofty and jagged cliffs, powerful wave, and its crystalline water. All of it is covered in the breathtaking beauty of un-tamed coastline.
This marvel of nature is located in one of the most beautiful place in the southern part of Bali Island, the Bukit Peninsula. Precisely in Pecatu Village, District of South Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali.
Its location is adjacent to Labuan Sait Beach, Padang-Padang Beach, and Pura Luhur Uluwatu. This is a great place for a simple and peaceful vacation in a pristine environment.
This beach is easily reachable by car or scooter. The road signs are quite clear and the vicinity has been developed. Around this place there are many hotels, villas, lodges, pharmacies, cafes & restaurants, and other facilities that provide many conveniences for visitors.
Drive straight from Uluwatu Temple through Jl. Suluban until the road end and the parking lot. Continued with descent the concrete steps, a little steep, up to the café and souvenir area.
Meanwhile, from Labuan Sait and Padang-Padang there is an access on the right side of the main road, a limestone road just next to Jl. Mamo and before the long bridge. Through this route, visitors will descent fewer steps compared to previous one.
Visitors are only charged with parking fees. From the parking lot, visitor will descent the concrete steps, passing though many cafés, food-stalls, surfboard rentals, and art shops, up to the cave openings leading to the scenic seascape.
During the high tide, only water activities can be done such as surfing or snorkeling. The beautiful seascape can only be enjoyed from the cliff top. However at the low tide visitors can explore the beaches in Suluban Uluwatu, both in the North and the South.
It is an astounding beach situated at the bottom of looming cliffs, a harmonious combination of the lovely white sand, green vegetations, big boulders, cave formations, coral reefs, tide pools, powerful waves, and crystal clear sea-water.
The northern beach is easily accessed by a simple walk along the white sand under the cave openings. The beach began to appear and showing off its beauty.
At the right end there is a gap between the cliff and the big rock. This is an access to the hidden beaches in the north. The northern part is a calm seaside with combination of sand and corals, big boulders, natural tide pools and tranquil atmosphere.
Meanwhile, to access the southern part visitors will be facing with a narrow gap and past it with crouched. In Balinese is often called "Mesulub", as well as the name of this place "Suluban".
Here, the beaches are separated by large rocks and corals. But there are many gaps, passable, and relatively safe. Need a bit caution and patience, especially when passing over with other visitors and surfers.
This southern beach has vast and charm white sand, a magnificent aerial view of towering limestone cliffs, blanketed with green vegetations, exotic cave formations at the bottom, coral reefs popping along the serrated coastline, natural tide pools for soaking, powerful waves, turquoise sea and cool sea breeze.
There is also an abandoned shipwreck and rusted hull at the water’s edge, turn this place into an awe-inspiring spot for photography lovers.
This beach is a hidden pearl, natural, and untamed. Every visitor will be awed with its scenic beauty. The perfect place for relaxation and rejuvenate the body's energy. This coast has big and strong waves. Many surfers have come and enjoy their surf activities here.
Meanwhile visitors can enjoy the pleasant atmosphere, stretches of sand, rocks, corals, towering limestone cliffs, and cave formations. Many activities can be done here such as: swimming, snorkeling, sunbath, soaking in natural tide pools, walking along the sandy paths, or just lie down and reading books.
Suluan Beach is facing the west and blessed with fascinating sunset. When the time comes, the sun dips on the horizon and emanating the brilliant violet color, a sign of daytime shifting to the evening.
